The parks in the southern peninsula of Helsinki have played an important role in creating the identity of the city since the early 1800s. Due to the age of these parks, major renovations have been unavoidable – such as planting new linden trees along the main alley through Kaivopuisto. This work ensures that the parks remain safe and healthy also for future generations.
