Vesalanpuisto Vesala Park
Few residents in the city centre know that one of Helsinki’s most impressive parks can be found in Vesala. This outlying neighbourhood is easily accessible by metro (to Mellunmäki station) and is well worth a visit – it is a real plant paradise. Vesala forms part of the Mellunkylä district, which became part of Helsinki in 1946. Today around 36 000 people live in Mellunkylä.
